Miami & Erie Trading Company

Miami & Erie Trading Company Ltd. was started by an idea to renovate buildings downtown. We love old buildings, we love them so much, we live in one too. It is a beautiful sight to see when years of neglect and poor remodeling can be stripped away, and renovations can begin. Through the renovations of suite 213 in the Koehl building we were looking forward to working on suite 209. We knew there were original features hiding beneath the modern additions, and we wanted to restore them to their former glory. Just before we started demo on this side, we developed our plans for Miami & Erie Trading. We had a vision for what we wanted to create, a feeling we wanted to embody, and when

nay-sayers abounded, we ignored them all, and went ahead and opened during a pandemic. We think that people will always desire connection to their community, and that they want to be surrounded by a vibrant atmosphere.

Our founding principles are simple: We believe that American made is best. We look for high quality goods that don’t disappoint. We look for unique items that will improve your day. We search for artisan goods that bring beauty to life. We believe that antiques and vintage items bring warmth and charm to a home.
